Our three hours here were well spent, especially because of the special exhibition featuring the sketches and sculptures of Michelangelo. Crowd control was fine, so we moved slowly among the gallerie… Full review by Drumraine

They are indeed two separate events. We never visited the tower, but did a thoroughly recommended English language tour for the main palazzo. That took of the order of 1 hour. …
