With just one day left in the legislative session, Alabama lawmakers must decide whether to join Florida, Louisiana, and likely Texas in adopting Trump's controversial rebrand of the Gulf of Mexico.

The resolution passed Wednesday, May 7, by a voice vote in the House urges all public bodies, agencies and departments in the state to make the name change by July 4. State and local governments are not required to make the change.
