Apple stopped signing the iPadOS 18 update for the M4 iPad Pro models, which means the new software is no longer available to be downloaded

Users can install the software on other Apple devices, including other iPad models, just not the premium M4. Speaking to MacRumors, an Apple representative said, "We have temporarily removed the ‌iPadOS 18‌ update for M4 ‌iPad Pro‌ models as we work to resolve an issue that is impacting a small number of devices."

Some people on Reddit claim Apple needed to fully replace their M4 iPad Pros after iPadOS 18 failed to install.

Apple has reportedly pulled iPadOS 18 for M4 iPad Pro devices, per MacRumors, over an update that is causing issues for some iPads.

Apple has stopped signing the iPadOS 18 update for the M4 iPad Pro, after some users reported that the update bricked their devices.

Reddit user “Lisegot” says the iOS 18 update bricked his 11-inch M4 iPad Pro. He immediately took off work to go to the Apple Store for a replacement. The Apple Store did not have his model in stock, so he had to wait 5 to 7 days for a replacement.

Initially, iPadOS 18 was available for the iPad Pro 11-inch (2024) and the iPad Pro 13-inch (2024), but a number of users found the update bricked their devices, preventing them from turning on, and leading Apple to send out replacement iPads.

Apple has quietly withdrawn the iOS 18 update for iPads following reports of users initiating the update only to find their device bricked.

Apple launched the new iPad Pro model this year which has the new M-series chipset but the new iPadOS might not be acting well on the new device.
