Multiple fatalities have been confirmed in Laurel County, Kentucky following a reported tornado. Saturday morning, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that nine people died and others had numerous severe injuries after the reported tornado.
Parts of Laurel County, Kentucky, will be under a curfew for a week while the community recovers from a deadly and devastating tornado that tore through the area, bringing catastrophic damage to London.
Flags at the Laurel County Fire Department are flying at half-staff in memory of Major Leslie Leatherman, who began as a volunteer at the department over 30 years ago.
The family's home was picked up and thrown across the street when a tornado ripped through the area, destroying everything they own.
