Flash flooding still a concern, even as tropical system moves out of North Carolina
After two days of persistent rain, the primary rain band finally pushed out of our North Carolina and Virginia counties. 3-6" rain fell onto Surry, Stokes, and Rockingham counties on Tuesday, causing flash flooding into early Wednesday morning. Flooded roads also forced Wednesday school delays in Stokes and Rockingham counties.
