In the just-concluded visit to the US, the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi met the man, Amit Kumar, who belongs to Ghogripur village of Karnal. During his meeting the Congress MP promised Amit Kumar that he would go to his home in Haryana and meet his family.

In a surprise visit to election-bound Haryana, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday reached a nondescript village in Karnal district to meet the family of an injured man who has been hospitalised in the US for the last one year.

On his recent visit to the US, Congress leader had met Amit Mann, who was injured in a truck accident, and his friends and promised to meet his family back home.

Amit Singh had gone to America one and a half years ago where he had met with an accident and was injured. On his meeting with Rahul Gandhi, Singh was promised that Gandhi would visit his house and video call him.

Rahul Gandhi spent a little over two hours with the family of a man, who met with an accident in the US, in Haryana’s Karnal.
