The Indian River County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate a deadly home invasion that the Sheriff Eric Flowers called a "heinous crime."

The sheriff's office has now confirmed two people died — one of whom is a pregnant woman. That woman’s unborn child also died during that home invasion, and another person was injured. It happened early Sunday morning in the Vero Beach Highlands community. The sheriff said they got a call just before 4 a.m. reporting a shooting.

A woman whose body was found along a Vero Beach street on Wednesday was identified. The Indian River County Sheriff's Office identified the woman as 43-year-old Carrie Lolas. At this time her death is still under investigation, deputies say. (IRCSO)
