Alabama softball fell to 7-seed South Carolina 6-2 in the second round of the SEC Tournament on Wednesday. This loss eliminated the Crimson Tide as now all head coach Patrick Murphy and company can do is wait to see the NCAA Tournament bracket.

No. 18 Alabama used a high-powered offensive showing to beat the No. 14 Gamecocks 13-1 in five innings after a run rule. It’s the most runs an opponent has scored against South Carolina this season and the second time the Gamecocks have been run ruled.

Arianna Rodi smacked a pair of home runs to set a new single season record as the Gamecocks won their SEC Tournament opener, 6-2 over Alabama.
