Cardinal Health on Friday agreed to acquire community cancer center operator Integrated Oncology Network for $1.12 billion in cash, marking its expansion into cancer care. Cardinal Health (NYSE: CAH) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Integrated Oncology Network (ION), a physician-led independent community oncology network, for $1.

The transaction, subject to regulatory approval, is expected to close later this year, a Cardinal spokesperson said.
