Stocks rose on Wall Street as China steps up measures to shore up its economy and gears up for trade talks with the U.S.

U.S. stock futures point to a higher open on news China and the U.S. will begin trade talks later this week in Switzerland.

China’s central bank acted shortly after news that officials from China and the Trump administration will hold their first formal trade talks since the punishing tariffs began.
