Ohioans have voted to authorize the issuance of $2.5 billion in general obligation bonds over the next 10 years to pay for roads, bridges and other needed infrastructure across the state.

Ohio Issue 2 would extend a program that pays for roads, bridges and other public works projects and increase the spending cap.

The proposed state constitutional amendment, on next Tuesday's primary ballot, would authorize $2.5 billion in state bonds for local transportation, water, and sanitary projects.
