It's now been a week since police say a paddleboarder was mysteriously killed in a small town in Maine, and while police are urging calm, the community is on edge. Sunshine Stewart of Tenants Harbor was found dead on Crawford Pond after she had gone out paddleboarding last Wednesday night.
The death of a 48-year-old woman who was found in a pond in Union, Maine, has been ruled a homicide, State Police said Saturday. The woman was identified as Sunshine Stewart, of Tenants Harbor, Maine State Police said in a statement.
The U.S. Supreme Court has allowed the Trump administration to proceed with its plans for large-scale layoffs. The Maine AFL-CIO said it's most concerned about potential layoffs at Social Security offices in Maine and the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
The body of 48-year-old Sunshine "Sunny" Stewart of Tenants Harbor was found on July 3. Her death was ruled a homicide.
