While Buffalo (8-4) is back in the winner's circle, Pittsburgh (6-6) has lost two straight games and five of its last seven. Sunday was another brutal showing for a Steelers offense that gained just 166 yards and possessed the ball for less than 19 minutes.
The Steelers rank 12th in the NFL with 25.3 points per contest on offense, and they rank 21st with 24.4 points ceded per contest on defense. The Chargers rank 16th in scoring offense (23.9 points per game) and 11th in scoring defense (21.4 points allowed per game) this season.
Just one day after being placed on waivers, Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are on the hunt for the playoffs, signed Adam Thielen on Tuesday. While the Steelers are in a tight race with the Baltimore Ravens, the experience Thielen lends could be the boost they need after declining to make any deals at the trade deadline.
