Unemployment claims in Ohio increased last week
Initial filings for unemployment benefits in Ohio rose last week compared with the week prior, the U.S. Department of Labor said Thursday. New jobless claims, a proxy for layoffs, increased to 7,206 in the week ending November 29, up from 6,765 the week before, the Labor Department said.
In the week ending November 29th, initial jobless claims were at a seasonally adjusted level of 191,000, the lowest level in over three years.
