Alec Baldwin is suing Santa Fe, New Mexico, officials after a judge dismissed the involuntary manslaughter case against him for the 2021 fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Alec Baldwin has filed a lawsuit against prosecutors and law enforcement in New Mexico, accusing them of “malicious prosecution" in his 'Rust' trial.

The lawsuit was filed in Santa Fe, where a judge in July dismissed a charge of involuntary manslaughter against Alec Baldwin in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Alec Baldwin has filed a civil rights complaint against officials in Santa Fe, New Mexico, claiming he was wrongfully prosecuted in the “Rust” case, a representative for Baldwin told CNN.

The lawsuit accused prosecutors and law enforcement of wanting to convict the actor of involuntary manslaughter “for all the wrong reasons.”

Alec Baldwin is continuing his legal battle, filing a civil lawsuit following the dismissal of his involuntary manslaughter charge in the shooting death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust.
