The most vocal conservatives in the House of Delegates announced the creation of a House Freedom Caucus Tuesday, taking their name and inspiration from a group on Capitol Hill that has become a major player in GOP politics over the past decade.

Maryland House Republicans on Tuesday launched a freedom caucus to advance conservative policies and push back on Democrats.

With Republicans holding a razor-thin majority in the House, the Freedom Caucus knows the grenades its members like to throw are very potent. Like political terrorists, any of its members can blow up legislation whenever they like, and it seems they enjoy taking turns being the “bad actor.”
