Gov. Andy Beshear said a 19th person, a woman from Russell County, had died from weather-related injuries during the latest tornado outbreak in Kentucky.

Two days after deadly tornadoes tore through southern Kentucky, devastated communities are beginning the painful process of picking up the pieces.

A total of 19 people lost their lives as a result of the tornadoes that struck southeastern Kentucky. Among them are a firefighter, retired teacher, church elder, and other loved ones.

Severe storms killed at least 18 people in Kentucky with 10 more hospitalized in critical condition, authorities said. Gov.

In Laurel County, the tornado hit at approximately 11:49 p.m., traveling across Keavy Road, Kentucky 1006, Old Whitley Road, and the London Corbin Airport.

At least 27 people have been killed by storms systems that swept across part of the U.S. Midwest and South, with Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear announcing Saturday that 18 of the deaths came in his state and 10 others were hospitalized in critical condition.
