A woman who was thrown out of the British army for being gay has said a memorial to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender military personnel "means the world" to her. The metal sculpture at the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire, was unveiled by the King last week.

The 25th anniversary of the Indianapolis LGBT Film Festival is the weekend. WFYI’s Abriana Herron sat down with festival committee member Ted Letherer to talk about the history of the event and its impact in Indianapolis. This interview has been edited for length and clarity.
