Justin Tucker spent the past 13 years with the Ravens, making him what had been the longest-tenured player on the team. That tenure in Baltimore came to an unceremonious and extraordinary end with his release Monday.

The Baltimore Ravens on Monday released veteran kicker Justin Tucker, who currently is the subject of an NFL investigation into allegations of improper conduct during massage therapy sessions.

Amid the investigation, the Ravens drafted kicker Tyler Loop in the sixth round of the NFL draft last month. On Sunday, Baltimore head coach John Harbaugh addressed having both kickers in the locker room and said any decision made "has to be based on football."
