Oliver Oakes' resignation as team principal of F1 team Alpine this week came several days after UK police charged his brother with transferring criminal property.

William Oakes was stopped in the Silverstone Park area on May 2, charged a day later and then appeared at Northampton Magistrates' Court.

Oliver Oakes, who resigned abruptly as Alpine Formula One team principal earlier this week, did so just days after his brother William, a fellow director at Hitech Grand Prix, was arrested.
