Two teenage boys were killed in a mass shooting incident that took place early Saturday morning in Indianapolis, according to police. Officers responded to calls of a disturbance around 1:27 a.m. near Washington and Meridian Street when they heard shots fired, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.

A 21-year-old rising senior at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst was hit by gunfire apparently intended for others near the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, police said.
