The Augusta Commission on Tuesday decided to move forward on an audit of the city’s troubled Parks and Recreation Department.

Roger Fortson, 23, was killed on May 3 by a deputy in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. The deputy was later charged with manslaughter with a firearm.
