Victor Caratini homered, Isaac Paredes drove in a run and the Houston Astros shut out the Philadelphia Phillies for a second straight game in a 2-0 victory.

Gordon threw 57 of 80 pitches for strikes, relying mostly on his four-seamer and sweeping slider. The Phillies put six balls into play against him with a exit velocity of 98.9 mph or higher. Only one fell for a base hit. The two hardest-hit balls against Gordon yielded lineouts to the left side.

Jeremy Pena scored following his leadoff double in the first inning and Victor Caratini added a critical insurance run in the bottom of the eighth for the Houston Astros, who topped the Philadelphia Phillies 2-0 on Wednesday to claim the three-game interleague series.
