The LADWP issued a boil water notice on Wednesday, Jan. 8, in response to the Pacific Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire, urging residents to "only use boiled tap water or bottled water for drinking and cooking purposes" as "disease-causing organisms" may now be found in the water.

Department of Water and Power’s municipal system: The final tank used to maintain water pressure in the area ran dry by 3 a.m. Wednesday, according to officials.

Only bottled water should be used in the area of the Eaton fire. In the Palisades fire area, water can be boiled.
