A former Virginia neonatal nurse has been arrested in connection with injuries suffered by babies in the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The Henrico County Police Department said the charges against 26-year-old Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman stem from one incident in November but that they are looking at other incidents at the hospital

Virginia police have arrested a registered nurse in connection with a twisted attack that left a vulnerable newborn in a hospital's neonatal intensive care unit with an "unexplainable fracture" in November.

The charges comes after the hospital said three babies were discovered with "unexplainable fractures" in late November and December of 2024. A similar incident took place the previous year.

Now, a woman who worked at the hospital is accused of abusing babies that were being cared for in the NICU. Erin Elizabeth Ann Strotman, 26 is charged with malicious wounding and felony child abuse in connection to a November incident at the Henrico Doctors’ Hospital in Richmond,

Henrico Doctors’ Hospital announced that it would not be "admitting any additional babies into our NICU at this time" as an investigation was launched into the 2023 and 2024 injuries
