Bigmouth Strikes Again... Morrissey has fired his management team after having previously claimed that his ex-bandmate Johnny Marr owns "100 per cent trademark rights" to The Smiths' name, and that he had “ignored” an offer for a 2025 tour.

With decades of unpleasant words between principal members Morrissey and Johnny Marr, the Smiths have long been one of the classic rock groups least likely to reunite, and it seems even less likely given the events of the past few weeks and days.

Last month, Morrissey — the legendarily moody lead singer of ‘80s icons The Smiths — claimed the band received a lucrative offer to reunite for a 2025 tour, and that he was willing, but his collaborator turned nemesis, guitarist Johnny Marr, “ignored the offer.”
