Johnson, who is originally from Lafayette, La., is Louisiana’s all-time leader in total yards (14,451) and touchdowns (171). Lafayette Christian Academy retired his No. 7 following his senior season, and he was one of five finalists for the 2023 MaxPreps National Player of the Year.
Johnson, a four-star recruit from Lafayette Christian in the 2024 class, arrived at LSU as a safety but moved to running back midway through his freshman year. He then transitioned to quarterback to begin this season, but moved back to the backfield after freshman JT Lindsey was suspended from the team.

A Miami Edison High graduate, Joseph was universally rated as a four-star recruit and one of the top 25 receivers in the 2023 class. He caught six passes for 36 yards in 10 games as a freshman and had 251 all purpose yards.
