Put them in dark rooms in creepy ruins, have them use their aura through thin walls to damage people constantly and make them wonder "Where is this damage coming from?!" As with any gaze monster, the first time people see it, their eyes will be open, and the gaze will hit. I love how it deals damage even on a save.
