Sep 21, 2024 · Update on Design lab status 2024. I just earned enough points on the xbox app to purchase a $100 gift card with the intent to buy an elite controller from the design lab. When I decided to look into if this is even possible, all I can find are discussions from 2022 saying it is not permitted since the design lab closed and reopened that year.

There's a quick fix for this issue, you need to create a new account alias and make it your primary. You can revert to your previous alias aftere you sucesfully sign in on the Xbox Design Lab page.
