Dec 19, 2005 · Blend of aw46 and power steering fluid. Just because I had the aw46, I think I could get away with straight aw32 year round. No issues with a front locker on 35's. if/when I go to tons on this rig. A larger cylinder will be needed. at that point I would use a oem pump from a Jeep Grand Cherokee WJ 2001-2004 with the 4.7.

Mar 30, 2005 · my 2.5 tbi jeep runs a carter rotary vane style external pump... it was about $105 at summit carter also makes another inline electric thats slightly more. i got the rotary vane b/c though the pressure was slighly lower, the volume was double.... here are links to both.....

Mar 20, 2005 · Sounds like I have about the same amount of lift as you do on my CJ7. I am running 35s and only rub when I am at max flex. I have not cut the fenders. I have 2" spring lift, 2 " body lift, and 1.5" lift shackles on the front and back and have no problems.

Mar 22, 2005 · OTOH a Rotary swap would be sweet. I had one in a 1974 Courier back in highschool and it was a blast to drive. The Rotary's are a different type of power and some don't like them. I'd reccomend driving one before going ahead with the swap.
XJ 4.5 inch lift I have an issue - NC4x4

I would say with 4.5" of lift and no SYE, you are beyond the scope of the stock driveshaft's capability. Shimming the tcase down is also making the front driveshaft very unhappy.

VERY flexy, scored 1056 on the ramp. Had to build a traction bar (anti-wrap) longer drive shafts, longer brake lines.

May 24, 2021 · Looking at adding a hoist to the garage. Short term for lifting and storing the 4runner top against the ceiling, but longer term that will be elsewhere and I'll likely end up using it for lifting "stuff" around the garage. Likely Bronco top. Ideally pulling an engine from the Bronco but I'm unsrure of the weight distrobution.
