I also just tried to play a DVD in the Xbox One and that didn't work either, but it wasn't a Blue-Ray disc so that might've been why.

May 29, 2021 · Save game progress for backwards compatible xbox 360 titles on xbox one. The issue I am having is pretty much below. For xbox one games, regardless of digital or disc, the save game progress is saved to hard drive. Where as if its a backwards compatible xbox 360 title on xbox one (either digital or disc), it saves to the cloud instead.
