Jan 24, 2020 · To test for thing 2 you need a nice test kit with a battery of tests, like iron, copper, gH, kh etc. Powder some of your rock thoroughly, then add to a glass pickle jar. Fill the jar 3/4 with water 1/4 with your dust and leave room to shake the mixture. Put cellophane over the top before putting the lid on.

Mar 27, 2007 · I just picked up a 50LB bag of Pea Gravel from Home Depot for $2.79. Extremely dirty out of out the bag, but after a lot (and I mean A LOT) of rinsing, it looks great. Thanks for the idea and tips.. I'm only using a small amount (for now), but even so, can't beat the value. Prices for 'aquarium gravel' at a fish store are downright ludicrous.
