In the early '70s, Cathy Rush becomes the head basketball coach of a tiny girls' Catholic college that has no gym and is in danger of being sold, and she determines to steer her team to their first national championship.

The movie tells the story of the women’s basketball team at Immaculata College in the Philadelphia suburbs that won the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women basketball championship in 1972, the year that college women’s basketball converted to the full-court game played today.
